Indianapolis and the towns around it
You can call from anywhere in Indianapolis and the towns around it. What changes from place to place is the paperwork: Lawrence and Speedway set their own street rules, and towns outside Marion County have their own trash pickup and chemical drop-offs. The pages below cover what's different in each.

Inside Indianapolis
Across the city, a container on your driveway needs nothing from City Hall, while one on the street needs a right-of-way permit (city page). Heavy trash pickup takes two bulky items a month, and ToxDrop takes paint and chemicals on set Saturdays. The guides on permits and banned items cover the details.

Not listed?
Call anyway and give the company your address. If you live outside Marion County, check your own city or county for street permits and hazardous waste drop-off before the container arrives.
Talk to a local dumpster company
Have your address, the project and a rough start date handy. The company will suggest a size and tell you the price, the weight allowance and when it can bring the container.
